When I was planning my fall bootie guide, I thought most about the pairs that I bought in previous seasons that are still either on-trend or bonafide classics today. I am pretty picky about boots. Having lived in New York so long and even now in Greenwich I walk A LOT and prefer to invest in well made boots that will last and are worth taking into the shoe guy for tuneups. In all honestly, I wear my booties more than any other shoe in my closet year round, so I always consider them a good buy even though I still like to wait for coupons and sales before making the commitment.
Based on my love for the trends and the classics, here are my picks for the 5 booties you need for fall.
The Print Pair
Printed, textured booties are huge this season. I love a leopard haircalf pair like these for their versatility and timelessness.
The Suede Bootie
Block heeled suede booties never go out of style and go with everything. This is my favorite pair, and I also love this budget version.
The Velvet Bootie
If you wrote the velvet boot off as a trend piece last year, you are probably aware by now that they’re here to stay. They’re warm, they’re luxe, and they’re vegan. I love a navy pair and I wear these to death.
The Sleek Black Ankle Bootie
Few pairs of booties will give you the mileage you’ll get out of a pair of these.
The Embellished Bootie
I wear my embellished booties more than any other pair in my closet. They are not only my most comfortable pair, but I tend to wear a lot of black and neutrals in the fall and they just always give my everyday ensembles an exclamation point of interest. I’m also digging these and praying they go on sale.
Whats your favorite bootie this season?
