I am starting to become that person: yes, mini Christmas trees are appearing in my children’s rooms. Hibernation season has me in its clutches and the more decorated my abode with twinkling lights the less its grip stings. This year brought some slim pickings in the decor sections, so I did some improvising and repurposing since sadly we lost some seasonal decor items during Ida. For example, I couldn’t find a flocked garland I liked for the mantle in my family room (I bought and returned) so I strung discoball lights and fluffed it up with vase filler. ‘Tis the season to make it work!
