I am so excited to share the only room I’ve ever designed in its entirety with you guys: my powder room! To recap, until this past spring, I had been living in apartments since FOREVER and could not wait to decorate and design my very first house. It’s a “Shore Colonial” which was built in 1905, and we bought it with the intent of renovating the kitchen as well as moving the powder room to the opposite side of the first floor and taking out the first floor laundry room. The house has some beautiful traditional colonial elements that I want to preserve while infusing modern updates with a beachy, bohemian vibe. This powder room was made from scratch and I am in LOVE with how it turned out. I had always admired wainscotted bathrooms with bold colors, so we painted the color of the walls is the same color we used on the island in the kitchen. I’ve been mulling over adding more art on the wall to the right of the mirror, but I adore the look of the large single framed piece of Otomi fabric so I may leave it be. Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
