This week’s quarantine life brought some of the best news we’ve heard and some of the worst. I honestly didn’t even know what to write today until I talked to one of my nearest and dearest friends just now. The photo above was taken this morning, after I had cried before 10 AM (I won’t even go into detail because I am sure you can imagine why). I shared it with my close friends and told them how I was feeling because I didn’t want them to feel alone. The most important thing we can do right now is give ourselves some grace, and understand and accept that we will all be alright if we just let the things go that we can’t control. We never really had control of our lives, our scheduled existence just made us think we did. The kids will be alright if we just let them have a little fun, spend time outside, and just try to lean in to what life has become. It’s a mess, but we are fortunate to be here. If all else fails tomorrow, Trolls 2 is coming out on demand. Just sayin.’
The Parents Are Not Alright
This Medium article is the truest piece I’ve read in a while, and I just had to share it. I’m currently stuck in a guilt spiral cycle, and I hope it helps you feel seen.
Face Masks For A Cause
You may have come across countless designer face masks (cue the eye rolls) now that the CDC recommends that we wear one during all public outings. Stacey Bendet over at Alice & Olivia is putting her money where her mouth is and donating a mask to communities in need for every stylish mask sold right here.
Saks Friends and Family
Saks has extended their Friends and Family Sale through Sunday, and they’ve sweetened the deal with up to 30% off select styles. They’re also taking 15% off beauty, including my favorite concealer.
Free Top Rated Meditation App
Headspace is offering it’s centering meditation app for free to help keep us sane. My anxiety is at an all-time high and I’m going to bed with it and my weighted blanket tonight.
Revolve Loungewear and Athletic Wear Sale
Revolve knows our quarantine wardrobes could use some updating, so they’re taking a rare 20% off loungewear and athletic wear here through 4/8. I love this Pink Floyd tee.
20% off everything at ASOS
Get 20% off everything at ASOS with code WOWZA. I love these shorts and this set for lounging in now and wearing out later.
Stay happy, healthy and safe.
