Today is National Simplicity Day, so I’m sharing my most favorite simple pieces in my closet. These are the unsung heroes, the wardrobe workhorses that I am constantly coming back to.
Here is my these are my 5 favorite simple wardrobe staples:
These are the original and best high waisted “mom” jeans. I am actually buying a second pair because I need to size down and my current pair was the perfect roominess to make into cut-offs.
James Perse Brushed Jersey Long Tank
If you need an all-purpose white tank, this is it. It’s long enough to tuck in or out, and stretchy enough to wear with a baby belly and beyond.
I’ve had my pair for 7 years. SEVEN YEARS. They’re so comfortable and even cooler than the day I got ’em. I love this year’s version.
Splendid Long Sleeve Layers Tee
I couldn’t even count how many times I’ve worn this layering tee. It’s such an important staple in my closet, I have it in three colors and they were on major repeat workhorses during my pregnancies.
I know, I know. This is really pricey for a tank top. BUT, it’s beautifully made with quality silk, and it’s not only a simple piece that goes with everything, it’s also an outfit maker. Throw it on over jeans and it’s a perfect night out ensemble.
