Ever since the FW16 shows, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect pair of velvet booties to update my denim and my favorite thrifted dresses. The look is both retro and luxe, a sweet 70’s throwback that will actually keep your feet warm (and no doubt brave the slush far better than suede). I’m leaning toward a navy pair because I love a rich jewel tone for fall yet it’s neutral enough and I find that I wear my navy boy bag probably more than I should.
