The western trending is heating up thanks in large part to Beyonce, although some would attest that it’s never truly left. For example, this cropped fringed leather jacket I copped at a sample sale more than a decade a ago has never left my wardrobe and has only gotten better with age. Still, it’s fun seeing the new iterations from the highest of fashion houses, from the hammered gold details on the “western belt” at Chanel to the resurgence of boho chic with boots at Chloe. One key western piece I added to my wardrobe for season: this denim skirt, which is the most flattering and versatile of all the versions I tried. I loved it with my current favorite silky soft seamless bodysuit (which is currently 40% off and has the prettiest neckline) and my waterproof western boots, which have been coming in clutch during this rainy season and are currently fully stocked and also on sale.
