For the past several years, my husband and I have traveled to Chicago to see his family on the evening before Thanksgiving. This year, we are taking a crack at Thanksgiving morning. Our voyage is a double whammy between O’hare and Laguardia, but my #1 tip for doing this is to take the Delta shuttle out of New York. These planes depart from the separate small, relaxed, uncrowded Marine Air terminal. My second most important tip for traveling for the holidays is to wear your coziest ensemble on the plane along with a blanket scarf (this one was not in stock earlier this week but it’s back!) with one mist of your favorite fragrance. A sweater dress like this one is a perfect getup for going straight from the plane to a family party. It’s cozy but chic and occasion appropriate, and wearing boots with a little lift and some lipstick adds polish.
