I snagged this rad vintage 80’s sweater at a flea market in my hood this weekend, and it was perfect timing for the light layers that would be needed this week. I love wearing oversized sweaters as outerwear by layering lighter pieces underneath, like this silk blouse and vest. I often run my purchases, especially footwear, by my cousin Shelly who was my first style icon as a child and still retains icon status in my mental fashion panel today. When I sent her a pic of these boots, she wrote back “are those Chanel?! You need them!” It was so satisfying (and slightly hilarious) to have her justify my purchase that she thought was well in the thousands, that was in fact less than $200. Zara truly has some of the best deals on leather boots. Something about this look made me feel like I was going to board a bad ass spaceship, in the best way. Celestial prints saw a rebirth on the FW runways, and it’s definitely one of my favorites that I never take out of rotation.
