The day of the Sophie Theallet Spring /Summer 2015 show at MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios called for light practical layers. The threat of rain was looming all morning, and it became a reality when it poured in the afternoon. I couldn’t stomach the thought of lugging an umbrella around, so I tossed on my trusty vintage Hermes vest and this bowler hat which served at the perfect hair and makeup protector. I didn’t really even need the hairsurance since I was fortunate enough to be invited to the American Express VIP Cardmember Lounge for some serious star treatment pre and post-show. Not only was I spared from waiting in line, but I was treated to champagne and hairstyling by Drybar. Best of all, I was given the rare opportunity to take part in an intimate Q&A session with Sophie herself following the show. She talked about the inspirational trip to Jamaica that influenced her stunning collection and first ever shoe collaboration with Jean Michel Cazabat. Meeting her was truly a highlight of my life.
A special thank you to American Express, my personal favorite credit card company on the planet.
