This vintage dress it the summer dress of the decade for me. Every time I wear it, someone stops me on the street to compliment it and ask where I got it. I bought it at a Salvation Army for $2 over a decade ago while thrifting with my best friend from college and I’ve worn it every summer ever since. I wore it to class at NYU with combat boots, I wore it with flat sandals to a barbecue at a friend’s house where I met up with a cute boy I was seeing, and I wore it this weekend while spending time with that cute boy who is now my handsome husband. I will wear this dress until the threads fall off. To me, there is nothing more priceless than a piece that you can wear year after year, no matter the trends, that feels quintessentially you and is full of your life stories. It definitely helps that the detail in the back is showstopping and practical for hot days.
Do you have a decade long loved summer dress?
