National Handbag Day is this Saturday, so we are celebrating one of my most favorite accessories early today. If you’re not new here, it is no secret that I am a handbag lover, particularly of the Chanel variety. It feels like as good of a time as any to share the bags I’m loving and currently coveting for fall.
Here are the 5 best bags for fall in my opinion:
The Chanel 19 Bag
This bag is at the tippy top of my wishlist in classic camel, but I am even more OBSESSED with this unreal sweater knit rainbow houndstooth colorway. I love the size and shape of the small or medium for an every day to night option, and I adore the mixed metals on the chains for easy shoe and jewelry matching. Schwing!
Sancia Babylon Bartooth Bag
I’m so excited for everyone who missed this bohemian dream of a bag last time around, because it’s back, baby. The combination of off-white with saddle brown looks so gorgeous with fall colors, and it’s so roomy for a crossbody. I die for the tooth closure and the bar handle, too.
Staud Shirley PVC Croc Bag
The ultimate transition bag, the Staud Shirley PVC bag never gets old to me. There are so many good colors, but the croc is extra special and ideal for autumn.
Gucci Ophidia Mini GG Round Shoulder Bag
Until I laid eyes on this one, I had met a round bag that gave me butterflies. Is it the vintage vibe, the chain strap, or the perfect proportion? Perhaps it is all of the above. We may never know. Le sigh.
Chanel Gabrielle Bag
It’ an investment for sure, but the Chanel Gabrielle bag is such a phenomenal fall bag, it’s the only Chanel style I own in two sizes and colors. The multiple straps make this bag truly hands free, and what I really love about it is that when a cold breeze blows, it acts as a multi harness belt for your closure-free cardis and coats.
