I’m not sure if I will ever truly feel like any room in my house is truly “done,” but I wanted to share my dining room with you all because I feel like it’s getting there. I also wanted to share it because I truly love how it’s evolving. The dining room is open to the formal living room, which I adore because we only enjoy meals there when we have company (most Sunday evenings) and holidays so it’s a perfect special occasion entertaining space. I got the vintage Moroccan rug on major sale at ABC Home and used it as inspiration for the rest of the room. Moroccan rugs are perfect for long, narrow spaces because the authentic traditional berber pieces are made that way. I chose the rest of the pieces like the weathered arch mirror and reclaimed Russian oak parsons table to compliment the beachy bohemian vibe while adding a little glamour with the capiz chandelier, the velvet chairs and the mirrored buffet. I love the big window over the table, but eventually I would love to replace them with doors that would open to the front porch to create an indoor / outdoor living space. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the tour!
