Happy National Drink Wine Day! If you have a bottle you’ve been saving but the occasion hasn’t quite arisen thanks to the pandemic, tonight is the night to pop a cork and toast to the nectar of the gods itself. One of my fondest travel porn memories will always be touring Napa with my best friend from college. I need to get back there. For now, sipping a glass on the couch just relaxing and watching my murder shows will do.
Here are 5 favorite wines of mine in case you are looking to try a new bottle:
Never before had such an unappetizing name been given to such a delicious dry yet full bodied sauv. It’s just perfect with chicken, fish, or alone. You can get it here.
I will admit that I initially tried Miraval because I was team Brangelina. For me, no other rose compares. It is so rich and fruity yet dry: simply incomparable and pairs well with anything especially a pool or a beach.
Torre dei Beati Bella Rosa-ae Rosé
An unexpected dark rose, this is the one bottle of wine that is seasonless to me, and goes with absolutely everything. It’s my fall-back hostess gift when I don’t know what is being served, and favorite bottle of mine to uncork when I am not sure what I am in the mood for.
One of my all time favorites was gifted to me by one of my dearest friends who is from Oregon. It’s pricey, but well worth it. So smooth, and it has never gave me a headache (as many red wines do).
Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé Champagne
Whenever celebrating a special occasion, I have a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé Champagne chilling. It’s decadent, crisp and compliments any meal or charcuterie board.
What will you be toasting with today?
