June 2020 has been a long year. You may have noticed that I paused publishing in this space. To be honest, I was overwhelmed in many ways, and it just did not feel right for me to continue to share my regularly scheduled content. Like many of you, I muted myself and listened, learned, protested, and donated. Most of all, I reflected on what I can do beyond what I have been doing, and took action.

I ended up taking a break from social media for a bit as well. Watching the sharing of infographics, quotes, and memes on Instastories and reading yet another general post on resources about racism coming from sources that have never before showed support for people of color became exhausting.

I’ve been spending some of the time I would have been spending working on this site working on a local initiative in my new community which I will share more about at a later time. In the meantime, I’m not going to tell you what to do. I will continue to share what I am doing, I will continue to be and stand with people of color and those who are “other”, and continue to publish the content you have come to expect from me.
