Grab a cup of coffee and get cozy, because this post is about to go pretty deep. You may have heard about Rent The Runway’s Unlimited Membership, and might be curious about it. You’ve come to the right place, because I have been a member since the feature was in beta testing and Rent The Runway asked me to try it out.
I loved it so much, I ended up purchasing a membership and it’s been my style saving grace over these past few years. Since starting out in beta, I became pregnant with my first baby, then my second, and my third. Between before pregnancy, during, and after, I’ve worn so many different sizes. Having Rent The Runway Unlimited allowed me to keep my wardrobe current and remix my old faithfuls without wasting money on clothes that I could only wear a few times during pregnancy and post-partum. Best of all, they include the special occasion ensembles that they were originally known for, so you don’t have to blow $1K+ on a ball gown you will only wear once.
Now, Rent The Runway Unlimited includes casual wear from jeans and sweaters to accessories in addition to the fancy frocks, so it’s more practical than when beta testing began. My favorite addition has been the inclusion of a fourth rental spot, whereas the original subscription included three. This means that at any given time, you can rent up to four items. If you receive your shipment and something doesn’t work for you, you can send it back and keep the others, and as soon as they have notification from UPS (which I find happens within 24 hours), a new spot opens up and you can select a new piece.
If the fashion girl in your life doesn’t already have it, an Unlimited subscription trial is the best gift EVER. Best of all, Rent The Runway is now offering my readers $200 off a 2 month trial, which is the best discount they’ve offered to date. Simply enter code RTRFAM025B4A at checkout to snag it. I’m currently browsing my options for a black tie holiday party that I’m attending this weekend because I do everything last minute this year and I know I will get my dress options in time. Yeah, it’s that fast.
I’ll be styling a few of my new favorite RTR holiday pieces so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are my favorite rental pieces that are still available through Unlimited:
