Today I’m celebrating National Lipstick Day by sharing my top five favorite colors of all time. I don’t feel polished without a good, proper lip. Maybe it’s because I grew up with a mom who never went without it, and still doesn’t. Maybe it’s because the best exclamation point on any outfit is matching your lip color to your shoes.

It’s a cult favorite for a reason. Ruby Woo is the most perfect true red lipstick. Just the slightest hint of blue goes unnoticed by the naked eye, yet makes any smile seem whiter.

I may never be able to figure out the correct pronunciation of this one, which is kind of embarrassing because I am asked about it all the time. It’s the one color I always keep in my bag.
