Curtain Bluff Resort Antigua Review

Curtain Bluff Resort Antigua

If you’ve been following along here and on Instagram, you know that my husband and I took a trip right after Thanksgiving. We had two main goals we wanted to achieve with this child-free vacation: 1. to relax as much as possible and 2. to scuba dive as much as possible. We fell in love with scuba diving on our honeymoon in Fiji (we stayed at Yasawa) and since then, we went to scuba school in the British Virgin Islands and got certified and have been chasing the best dive sites around the world. Fun / sad fact: for a few years, I had a scuba license but no drivers license. Curtain Bluff Resort Antigua helped us achieve these two main goals because everything is included, even scuba diving. We went on a dive every morning (except for the last day we flew home which is not feasible for health reasons) and it was just the two of us with the guides, both of which were cool and helpful. This is what made the trip an incredible value. It was really special to be able to be able to essentially roll out of bed, walk out the door and jump on the boat. Best of all, we saw three sharks, tons of eagle rays, and some huge sea turtles. Our toddler was very impressed when we told him until he realized he wasn’t invited.

For just the two of us, we opted for the self described “most affordable” Deluxe room, which was direct beach front. The best thing about it was being right on the beach, which was quiet and we barely saw a single person except for a member of the wait staff who brought us a bottle of champagne because I “looked like I wanted it,” and the massive bathroom with double vanity. The resort itself just underwent renovations a few months ago and the decor is to die for. The two beaches are perfect, on the same level as Turks and Caicos.Curtain Bluff Resort AntiguaCurtain Bluff Resort AntiguaWe are food snobs, and most of the food was delicious and there was a wide variety. There are two restaurants on site, and I preferred the Seagrape to the Tamarind Restaurant because it was more casual and I preferred the plethora of seafood options.

One of my most favorite things about Curtain Bluff was their jawdropping spa. Not only is the setting incredibly beautiful, it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Afterward, there is a massive deck for lounging complete with an infinity hot tub overlooking the ocean. I honestly didn’t want to leave, and we spent an entire afternoon there.

Curtain Bluff Resort SpaI can’t say enough good things about the staff, the bartenders, the list goes on. Every single person who works at Curtain Bluff was exceptionally kind, friendly, and just fantastic at their job. The owner, Chelle, is also friendly and inviting. She lives on the bluff of the grounds and even hosted a cocktail party at her house one night and presented a few guests with awards for having been back to the resort ten times. I think that kind of says it all.
