3 Easy Last Minute DIY Costumes Using Items You Already Have In Your Closet

Forever 21 Classic Cape Blazer

Happy Halloween! You know what’s really scary? Getting stuck in Chicago overnight, then imprisoned in O’Hare then on an airplane with two babies. That’s a spooky real life tale of the past 30something hours of my life, so this week is off to a rocky start as I planned to have this post live yesterday. Anyway, some of you have asked what kinds of last minute costumes you could throw together with items from your own closet, and since I am definitely a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of girl at the moment, I feel you.

Here are 3 easy last minute DIY costumes:

Vampire

Balmain Superwoman TeeThrow on that cape blazer from a few seasons back, a red tee, a red lip, and your winter foundation that’s just a few too many shades lighter than your current complexion. Some strategically placed red lip gloss drops makes for some pretty convincing faux blood.

Basic

Zara Jacquard ScarfWear your favorite plaid shirt, some skinnies or leggings and carry a Starbucks cup (PSL!) and go as a Basic B.

Hippie

wildfox where am I teeRock a pair of bell bottoms + a vintage graphic tee + a crossbody bag + your biggest roundest sunglasses and BOOM you’re a hippie. If it’s cold, toss on a faux fur gilet or sherpa coat.

No shame. Wishing you all a safe and happy Halloween!
