Beachy Bohemian Kids Bedroom

Since my inspiration board for Bear’s first nursery was one of your most favorite decor posts, I thought I should share my plans for Bear’s big boy room that is currently in the works. His current nursery is the closest bedroom to ours, so we are going to leave it as a nursery and move Luke out of our room and into that one while Bear “graduates” and goes down the hall. I’ve been trying to get him excited about it and we’re framing it as a promotion / birthday present (whatever works, right?). I’m aiming to choose neutral anchor items that he can grow into like this Jonathan Adler crib that converts to a full bed using a conversion kit since he will likely only sleep in a crib for another year. It didn’t dawn on me at first that I would need to purchase another crib in addition to the one in the nursery,  but I didn’t want to rush him into a bed especially with adding a sibling. I also knew from Bear’s size that Luke would outgrow the bassinet quickly. We were hoping to wait till Luke was four months old, but at two months, he has almost no room and he is only waking for one feeding at night (yes, I know I am lucky).  I got the idea for the room from Bear, who is currently in love with Octopuses. Since the overall feel of our home is beachy bohemian glam, those elements are sprinkled in to keep the vibe of the house cohesive. I’m also going to be incorporating some pieces that are already in the room like these amazing and affordable blackout curtains and some other things we already have like this bench later on after we add built-in cabinets to the family room. Enough with the chit chat, here is where you can get the goods:
