5 Maternity Style Staples That Are Not Maternity

The one negative comment I always hear from stylish women who are expecting is “I don’t want to buy a bunch of maternity clothes.” The truth is, aside from investing in a pair or two of good maternity jeans that won’t fall down all day (I swear by AG Secret Fit Belly jeans), you really don’t have to.

Here are my favorite 5 maternity style staples that are not maternity.

High Waisted Faux Leather Leggings

These are the best leggings, PERIOD. They also just happen to work (and last!) throughout both of my pregnancies.

The Wrap Dress

Nothing kills your fancy vibe like a giant elastic panel on your waist. Invest in a classic wrap dress in a fabric with some give and you’ll be chic before, during, and after you’re with child.

The Boyfriend Shirt

As luck would have it for us pregos, the oversized boyfriend cut button down shirt is on-trend and comes in handy for nursing post-partum.

Extra Comfy Slip-on Sneakers

Bending over becomes no easy task, so save yourself the hassle and get the comfiest, most stylish slip-ons you can get your hands on.

A Long, Stretchy Black TeeSplendid Layers Long Sleeve Tee

The longer and more spandex laden the top, the better it will fit your changing midsection. This Splendid Layers Tee is on heavy rotation these days under cardis and jackets or worn alone. It’s just perfect and I know I’ll wear it far past my due date (forever).
