Having been a bold lip or barely there gloss kind of girl, I’ve never been interested in neutral lipstick colors. Part of this stemmed from my belief that most “everyday” colors simply didn’t flatter my deep brown skin tone. I was thrilled to receive Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick c/o Marc Jacobs Beauty, until I saw the color: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It was everything I thought looked bad on my brown-ness: a neutral slightly mauve rose tone. I was so surprised to find that it is the best everyday lipstick color for brownies like myself, who want to look “awake” but not “done.” The texture of the Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick is fantastic for long summer days: you only need one swipe of the light moisturizing stay put formula. This one had earned a spot in my regular lipstick roster.
