I had been coveting the “kaftans” at Figue for many moons. While I was waiting to win the lottery / rationalize the purchase of a $500-$1000 coverup, my cousin pulled this gorgeous hand dyed silk baby from the rack at Tokyo Joe’s before proclaiming, “this is so you and so perfect right now!” It was brand new with the tags attached for $60 so obviously I snagged it immediately. Luckily, the small magically fit my seven month bump and still fits my 36 week belly. Coming in at a close second for score of the summer are these current season Fendi statement sunglasses, also plucked from Tokyo Joe’s for $50. I recommend making a trip over there soon if you haven’t already this summer. I sold a few things through them as well to make room for the baby, and I feel great about it knowing they have found good homes with savvy New York city fashion lovers.
