Best Consignment Shops in The East Village

Tokio 7

83 East 7th Street, New York NY 10003 btwn 2nd and 1st aves

After the lovely ladies of Rena Reborn bring you up and you’re too buzzed to care, head down the street to Tokio 7 where you’ll be brought back to earth or, er, Tokyo again, by the employees who act like they just want you to get the hell out of their store. Again, you won’t care, because this shop has the most inventory of all, and though some prices are a bit higher in comparison with the rest on this list, a little hunting time goes a long way. They have an entire rack of Chanel couture, plus the absolute best selection of sunglasses and shoes. The same week I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of Rag & Bone Harrow booties at Saks, I found the same pair for $150 at Tokio 7. I promptly returned the boots to Saks and kept the Tokio pair, saving more than $400.

ASOS Coat in Oversized Fit in Check

The Rag & Bone Harrow booties from Tokio 7.

Notable scores: classic collection Chanel aviators for $125,  my silk Chanel wedding clutch, Rag & Bone Harrow booties for $150.
