Dress: Vintage via City Opera. Bag: Louis Vuitton. Sunglasses: Wildfox. Shoes: Loeffler Randall (carbon copy here for $15!). Bracelets: Overstock, DIY. Nails: Essie Really Red (hands), Essie Roarrrange (feet). Lip: Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Voluminous Matt Lip Color in L’Exuberante.

Whenever I’m thrifting or shopping vintage, I am always on the lookout for vintage embroidered dresses. I scored this vintage Mexican wedding dress at City Opera, which is a well curated vintage and designer resale shop in Gramercy that has decent prices considering the fact that it’s pre-picked. It was under $50 and I just adore the crochet and embroidery details and the style just feels very me, maybe because I’m married and Mexican. Speaking of scores, I could not wait to share these Star Wrap Sandals from dELiA*s, my generation’s tween dream store, for $14.99 when you apply the HALFOFF coupon at checkout. I am getting the silver pair and I am seriously considering the gold too as a backup pair for my beloved sold out Loeffler Randall sandals which have definitely seen better days.

Have you ever bought a backup pair of shoes? Tell me I’m not alone.
